Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Aviagen® was excited to participate in Livestock Malaysia 2025, held from August 27–29 in Kuala Lumpur, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to supporting the Malaysian poultry industry, with stock that optimizes bird welfare, sustainability and performance.
During the three-day event, Aviagen experts help breed success together by sharing technical insights at the show’s knowledge forums. Dr. Keat Fu addressed the importance of biosecurity as a foundation for successful poultry production, while Dr. Joseph Ng presented strategies for achieving the best possible start in broiler production by optimizing brooding practices.
The Aviagen booth attracted strong interest, with more than 10% of attendees introducing themselves to the team. Among the notable visitors were Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Dato′ Sri Arthur Joseph Kurup, and Datak Seri Isham Ishak, the Secretary General of Agriculture and Food Security, both of whom engaged with Aviagen representatives to learn more about the company’s role in delivering high-quality poultry genetics, under the Arbor Acres®, Indian River® and Ross® brands, that contribute to the nation’s protein supply.
Dr. Rafael Monleon, Business Manager for Aviagen Asia Pacific, emphasized the value of such events: “Our participation in Livestock Malaysia allows us to connect directly with current and potential customers, as well as farmers who use Aviagen stock, at both the parent stock and broiler levels. These conversations deepen our understanding of the practical challenges faced on farms, due to the prevailing management practices, disease status, and environmental conditions in the country. It is especially encouraging when senior policymakers take time from their busy schedules to recognize the important role primary breeders like Aviagen play in safeguarding food security for Malaysia.”
Aviagen’s presence at Livestock Malaysia reflects its mission to support the growth and resilience of the poultry sector, helping customers achieve long-term success through innovation, expertise, and collaboration.
